Both votes are due on 20 October.

The former Soviet country, which borders Ukraine, has long feared Russian intervention in its domestic affairs, notably in the Kremlin-allied breakaway republic of Transnistria and the southern autonomous region of Gagauzia. Sandu has been president since 2020, when she was elected with 57.7% of the vote in the final runoff.

They accused Russia of “actively using disinformation and propaganda online, on the air, and on their streets to further their objectives” of “degrading public confidence in Moldova’s ability to secure itself and maintain rule of law”.

The statement singled out the Russian state broadcaster RT, which it said had been “involved in providing direct support” to Ilan Shor, a fugitive pro-Russian businessman who has been sentenced in absentia to 15 years in prison in connection with the disappearance of $1bn from Moldovan banks in 2014.

The three countries said that if Sandu were re-elected, “there is reason to believe Moscow will work to incite protests”. They said they were working closely with the Moldovan government and had already sanctioned actors involved, with further sanctions being considered.

“We will continue to support Moldova and the Moldovan people as they manage Kremlin interference and the impacts of Russia’s brutal war against Ukraine,” the statement from the UK, US and Canada said. “We strongly support Moldova’s democratic, economic, security, and anticorruption reforms and deepening European integration.

“By revealing the Kremlin’s plot, we are making it clear to Moscow that we stand for free and fair elections and will not tolerate its attempts to meddle and undermine democratic processes. We urge the Kremlin to abandon these efforts to subvert Moldova’s democracy and to respect its sovereignty and the outcomes of free, fair, and independent elections.”

The 21-year-old looks capable of making grand slam success look routine, much like the Big Three who came before

On the eve of his third grand slam final, a day after he had cramped, flailed and nearly found himself out of the French Open at the semi-final stage, Carlos Alcaraz and his coach, Juan Carlos Ferrero, were reflecting on the sheer difficulty of winning a single grand slam title, something the greatest players have achieved so many times.

“[Juan Carlos] told me: ‘You’re going to fight for your third grand slam title, with everything you have been through you know the difficult part of winning a grand slam. [Novak] Djokovic has 24 … it is unbelievable,’” Alcaraz said.

As Alcaraz has consolidated his triumphs at such a remarkable pace, he has made much of his success look inevitable. He is now a three-time grand slam title winner at 21, having conquered the three main surfaces at a faster rate than any other man.

Alcaraz’s record when under pressure is also astounding. He is 3–0 in major finals, 5–1 in Masters 1000 finals, and 11–1 in five-setters. So many talented young players have struggled to perform after being subjected to so much hype and pressure, yet he continues to manage the pressure best on the biggest stages.

His success is underscored by the way he plays; the bold, attacking and creative shotmaking, the net forays and drop shots, and even the way it seems he must smile on court, and play with joy, in order to unlock his creativity. He took control in the fifth set of Sunday’s French Open final against Alexander Zverev on Sunday, not by grinding his opponent down but with ridiculous improvisation such as an angled forehand slice winner and a single-handed backhand pass.

“With drop shots, my volley, I wanted to develop my style being aggressive all the time,” he said on Sunday. “Of course practising the defence and all that stuff, but my main goal is being aggressive as much as I can.”

The greatest part of Alcaraz’s success, though, is that he still has so much room to improve. During the final two matches of Alcaraz’s title run, his struggles made it difficult not to think about the greatness of Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Serena Williams. They played so many massive matches in their careers, yet hid their nervousness expertly.

By contrast, in Alcaraz’s five-set wins against Jannik Sinner in the semi-final and Zverev in the final, the significance of the occasion was written over their faces. With such a massive opportunity for both of them — the first Roland Garros final without any member of the Big Three since 2004, their nerves looked suffocating.

In both matches, Alcaraz endured cramps at important moments and neither he nor his opponents were able to perform at a consistently high level as the momentum drastically shifted. Only when the Spaniard fell down two sets to one did he find his feet and recover to win. In his short career, Alcaraz has shown a remarkable ability to steady himself in the eye of the storm, to find his best tennis when it is most necessary even when he has been fighting himself for much of a match. In order to follow in the footsteps of the greats who have racked up major titles at such incredible rates, the next challenge for Alcaraz is learning how to be a more efficient player, to pounce whenever an opponent shows weakness and to be a commanding frontrunner as well as an excellent fighter.

This latest triumph was also preceded by an interesting, difficult period in Alcaraz’s career. He won only one title between his Wimbledon triumph and this French Open and he experienced ample growing pains as he continued to learn his trade. Along with his tiredness at the end of last year and his sometimes erratic form, he has also had numerous injuries. This year, it will also be interesting to see if he can perform well and consistently until the end.As a player, Alcaraz also has significant room to improve. In recent months he has changed his service motion in order to address one of the weaker points in his game. It is still a work in progress; Alcaraz’s serving was mixed in his final two matches. While he is blessed with a deep toolbox of shots, he can sometimes be too erratic and impulsive, leaning too heavily on flashy, low-percentage ball-striking. As he grows, shot selection will continue to improve.

https://github.com/Top-Gun-Maverick-2022-Free-HD-online

https://github.com/online-The-Judge-2014-streaming

https://github.com/Interstellar-2014-free-Download

https://github.com/Mad-Max-1979-HD4k

https://github.com/disturbia-full-online

https://github.com/Summer-Camp-Free-HD

https://github.com/Dogman-2023-free-online

https://github.com/Atlas-2024-FULL-VERSION

https://github.com/Mobile-Suit-Gundam-SEED-FREEDOM-HD4K

https://github.com/We-Imagine-as-Light-HD-1080P-TW

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547688698

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547688237

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547688437

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547688497

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547688944

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547688876

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547688849

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547200010

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547200040

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547200509

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547200567

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547200585

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547200772

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547688337

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547688619

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547689813

After years of waiting for a player to follow in the footsteps of the Big Three, there could not be a better candidate. Alcaraz has already won more major titles (three) than all players born in the 1990s combined (two). Following Daniil Medvedev’s failure to defeat Sinner from two sets in front in the Australian Open final, players from the younger generation continue to prove themselves more capable of stepping up and taking the titles on offer.

This tournament also marked an interesting early inflection point for the most significant new rivalry, between Alcaraz and Sinner. While Alcaraz was struggling, Sinner’s run since October 2023 has been immense and had he defeated his opponent on Friday he could have already drawn level with the Spaniard on grand slam titles. Instead, Alcaraz remains ahead of any other young player, setting standards for the new generation. As he continues to grow, the question remains whether he too will one day make winning the biggest titles look routine.

The Israeli military said its forces came under heavy fire during the daytime operation.

The EU’s top diplomat, Josep Borrell, called it a “massacre”, while the UN’s aid chief described in graphic detail scenes of “shredded bodies on the ground”.

“Nuseirat refugee camp is the epicentre of the seismic trauma that civilians in Gaza continue to suffer,” Martin Griffiths said in a post on X, calling for a ceasefire and the release of all hostages.

The bodies of 109 Palestinians including 23 children and 11 women were taken to al-Aqsa Martyrs hospital, which also treated more than 100 wounded, a spokesperson, Khalil Degran, told AP.

He also said more than 100 people killed in Israeli attacks had been taken to al-Awda hospital, with 210 victims in total. That figure was also given by the Hamas media office, but could not be verified.

The Israeli military spokesperson R Adm Daniel Hagari confirmed on Saturday that dozens of Palestinians had been killed. He knew that “under 100” casualties had been reported, but could not say how many were civilians, he told a briefing.

The rescue raid was Israel’s largest such operation of the war, freeing Noa Argamani, 25, Almog Meir Jan, 21, Andrey Kozlov, 27, and Shlomi Ziv, 40. All four were healthy and were reunited with their families on Saturday after medical tests.

Scores of hostages are believed to be held in densely populated areas or inside Hamas’ labyrinth of tunnels, making such operations extremely complex and risky. A similar raid in February rescued two hostages while leaving 74 Palestinians dead.

While Israelis celebrated their return, Palestinians in Gaza mourned the many dead, or watched over injured loved ones in the overcrowded al-Aqsa Martyrs hospital.

One wave of heavy Israeli bombing in Nuseirat was launched to secure the passage of the three men, who had been held together. Argamani was rescued alone, from a separate location.

The special forces team extracting male hostages was confronted by militants, Israel’s Channel 12 television reported, and when a rescue vehicle got stuck, called in backup from Israel’s airforce and other troops in the area. They escaped under heavy bombardment, the report said.

Special forces operated under heavy fire in a “complex urban environment” to carry out the rescue, the Israeli defence minister, Yoav Gallant, said, describing it as one of the most extraordinary operations he had seen in a decades-long military career.

Israel’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, said the raid — only the third successful military rescue of the war — was proof “Israel does not surrender to terrorism”. He has long insisted that military pressure is the best way to ensure the return of all Israelis captured on 7 October.

But beyond Israel, the hostages’ joyful reunions with their families were overshadowed by the horror at how many people were killed in Gaza during the operation to secure their release.

Borrell, in a post on X condemned “in the strongest terms … reports from Gaza of another massacre of civilians”. He called for a ceasefire and the release of all remaining hostages. “The bloodbath must end immediately,” he said.

As the war drags on into its ninth month, Netanyahu has come under increasing international pressure to agree a ceasefire deal and domestic pressure to secure the return of all Israelis still held in Gaza.

The rescue operation may give Netanyahu temporary relief at home. The occasion was what one Indian writer described as “likely the most ostentatious pre-wedding ceremony the modern world has ever seen”.

In March, to celebrate the forthcoming marriage of Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Mukesh Ambani, India’s richest man, Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates and Ivanka Trump flew in. So did the entertainment: Rihanna and Akon. The airport near the venue was supposed to be reserved for India’s armed forces but the media reported that the authorities had granted special permission for non-military jets to land.

“When it comes to helping out his rich industrialist friends, prime minister Modi is willing to do anything,” Jairam Ramesh, a leading opposition politician, posted on X at the time.

After a decade in power that has, according to a recent study, left 40% of wealth in the hands of 1% of the population, the inequality that Modi’s favoured tycoons personify may help explain the shock loss of his majority in parliament this week.

Discontent has been apparent for years. When Modi tried to scrap price protections for small farmers in 2020, protesters burned effigies of him and of two moguls who have profited immensely under his rule, one of them being Ambani.

He presides over an industrial empire founded by his father that has made him a $110bn (£86.4bn) fortune, almost as large as those of the US tech barons who came to his son’s pre-wedding bash. Ambani’s rivals have claimed that Modi’s authorities helped his telecoms venture conquer the Indian market.

While the Ambanis have enjoyed cordial relations with the state under a succession of rulers, the protesters’ other flaming effigy represented a businessman whose rise has been entwined with that of Modi.

Gautam Adani stood by Modi when, as chief minister of Gujarat, he became a pariah after presiding over riots in which hundreds of Muslims were killed. When Modi became prime minister, propelled by his fierce Hindu nationalism, it was Adani’s private jet that bore him to New Delhi. Soon Adani was enjoying a slew of government infrastructure contracts. His fortune multiplied until he joined Ambani among the 20 richest people on the planet. Both of them lavish praise on the prime minister. Neither’s company replied to requests for comment.

Adani has said he is “nation building”. His admirers, like Ambani’s, draw comparisons with the chaebol business clans of South Korea, which enjoy privileges but drive economic development. Growth under Modi has been so fast that India has surpassed the UK as the fifth biggest economy.

But the proliferation of Indian billionaires does nothing for the millions of Indians barely subsisting. “There’s a lot of pain clouded by these huge top-line growth numbers,” said Sandipto Dasgupta, an expert on Indian politics at the New School for Social Research in New York.

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls545787777

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547657353

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547657640

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547657274

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547657228

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547657475

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547657444

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547657955

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547657965

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547657801

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547657033

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547651561

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547651758

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547651742

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547651155

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547651357

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547651357

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547651346

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547651635

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547651229

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547653164

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547653615

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547653692

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547653212

https://m.imdb.com/list/ls547653244

https://github.com/madoer

https://billetto.co.uk/users/2024-hd-1080p-sub-thai/details

A recent analysis by economists, including Thomas Piketty, argued that India under Modi is now more unequal than under British rule. “It is unclear how long such inequality levels can sustain without major social and political upheaval,” they wrote. Asked about the study, Modi replied: “Should everyone be poor?”Rahul Gandhi, who has led the opposition Indian National Congress party to a resurgence, made cronyism a line of attack. At the start of Modi’s rule, Gandhi called his regime a “suit-boot ki sarkar”, meaning a government for the well-heeled.

Such jibes bounced off the seemingly invincible Modi for years. But Gandhi stuck with them, referring frequently to Adani and Ambani. In May, Modi appeared to try to distance himself from the two tycoons, claiming they were giving “truckloads” of cash to his enemies.

“During the campaign, people said nobody cares about this,” said James Crabtree, the author of Billionaire Raj. “But maybe, actually, they did.” Defeats for Modi’s Bharatiya Janata party in Uttar Pradesh, India’s most populous state, appear to be the result of his Muslim-bashing failing to win votes from poorer Indians for whom no amount of nationalist rhetoric can mask a chronic lack of jobs.

Last year Trump boasted he could end the war in “24 hours”.

Trump’s aides have previously sketched out a possible plan that would involve giving Ukraine’s eastern regions to Russia, as well as Crimea. But Zelenskiy made clear that “Ukrainians would not put up with that”. He could cut off “support, weapons and money”, and even “make deals” with Kyiv’s partners so they stop deliveries of vital arms.

https://gitlab.com/-/snippets/3715417https://gitlab.com/-/snippets/3715416https://gitlab.com/-/snippets/3715415https://gitlab.com/-/snippets/3715414https://gitlab.com/-/snippets/3715413https://gitlab.com/-/snippets/3715412https://gitlab.com/-/snippets/3715411https://gitlab.com/-/snippets/3715410https://gitlab.com/-/snippets/3715408https://gitlab.com/-/snippets/3715407https://www.are.na/block/28419062https://www.are.na/block/28418925https://www.are.na/block/28418998https://www.are.na/block/28419301https://www.are.na/block/28419284https://www.are.na/block/28419273https://www.are.na/block/28419259https://www.are.na/block/28419210https://www.are.na/block/28419202https://www.are.na/block/28419178https://www.are.na/block/28419481https://www.are.na/block/28419504https://www.are.na/block/28419561https://www.are.na/block/28419555https://www.are.na/block/28419537https://www.are.na/block/28419523https://www.are.na/delor-moler/cuevana-3-ver-haikyu-la-batalla-del-basurero-2024-pelicula-completa-online-en-espanol

“Ukraine, barehanded, without weapons, will not be able to fight a multimillion [Russian] army,” Zelenskiy told the Guardian.

Speaking inside his presidential headquarters, he said he thought this scenario was unlikely. But he said if it happened there would be grave consequences for the US’s standing in the world — as well as for Trump personally. “Does he want to become a loser president? Do you understand what can happen?” Zelenskiy said.

He predicted that Vladimir Putin would violate any Trump-brokered deal. “A ceasefire is a trap,” he said. After a pause Putin would “go further”, humiliating Trump and making him look “very weak” in the eyes of the world, he said.

Zelenskiy continued: “This is not about him [Trump], as a person but about the institutions of the United States. They will become very weak. The US will not be the leader of the world any more. Yes, it will be powerful, first of all, in the domestic economy because it has a powerful economy without a doubt. But in terms of international influence it will be equal to zero.”

Realising that Washington was no longer “a player”, other mostly authoritarian countries and leaders would “come into the arena” and emulate Putin’s aggressive “approach”, Zelenskiy suggested.

And this would ultimately end in global disaster: “The beginning of what everyone is so afraid to talk about. This is reality. And this is the real third world war.”

Asked whether Johnson had spoken to Trump on Ukraine’s behalf, Zelenskiy said: “I think he tried, and I think he spoke to him. I think so, yes, as far as I know.”

The initiative came as Kyiv lobbied pro-Trump Republicans in Congress and tried to persuade them to drop their opposition to Ukraine aid. The $61bn military aid package passed in April after a six-month delay.

Zelenskiy made his comments a day before a New York jury on Thursday convicted Trump of all 34 counts of falsifying business records. The verdict in the hush-money trial made him the first former president to be found guilty of felony crimes in the US’s near 250-year history.

In 2019, as president, Trump rang Zelenskiy and asked him to investigate his election rival Biden and Biden’s son Hunter. If Zelenskiy failed to find dirt on Hunter Biden, US security assistance to Ukraine would be withheld, Trump suggested, according to a leak of the call. The scandal led to Trump’s first impeachment.

Zelenskiy said he had invited Trump to visit Ukraine. “I want to talk to him openly. I want him to come and see the war for himself. And then to talk to him. I think he would need it to understand the situation better,” he said.

Little did he know, at the start of his teens, that one week training on the outskirts of Barcelona and another at the foothills of the Black Forest would provide him with something of a peek into the future. Birmingham City recognised the boy who joined at seven from Stourbridge Juniors would benefit from fresh challenges, different plains. They wanted to take him out of his ever-evolving comfort zone, though that was somewhere he rarely stayed long.

Birmingham sent Bellingham on a kind of footballing school exchange, to Cornellà and Freiburg, teams in Spain and Germany with whom they had links, to give him a taste of European football. On Saturday Bellingham will play in the continent’s grandest club match, when Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund, his current and former clubs, duel for the Champions League at Wembley. It is a long way from his colourful early days in Birmingham’s pre-academy that Mike Dodds, who coached Bellingham during his first and last training sessions at the club, well remembers.

“He’s going to kill me for telling you these things,” Dodds says. There were the kits Bellingham wore to training — Barcelona, Brazil, Juventus (Zidane on the back) and, of course, Real Madrid — the plain Kipsta football boots and a haircut born in 2002 even though Bellingham came into the world a year later. “He used to have the Ronaldo ‘R9’ haircut, where he shaved his head and had that little tuft of hair at the front,” Dodds says of Bellingham mimicking the Brazilian who also won La Liga in his first season at the club. “You could say it was fate, maybe? He used to turn up in a different kit every training session — you name it, he had it. He bounced around like Tigger.”

Alongside that sense of fun came a self-belief that means Bellingham has always held himself to sky-high standards. Dodds recalls Birmingham’s under-15s losing in the semi-finals of a tournament in the Netherlands, where Bellingham’s words stick in his memory. “It went to penalties and Jude missed his,” says Dodds. “Jude stood up in front of all of the players and apologised, which for a 14-year-old boy I thought was really mature. He said something like: ‘Top players step up in the big moments and I haven’t done that.’”

At that point it was still a case of jumpers for goalposts, blazers v non-blazers during lunchtimes on the playing field at the Priory School in Edgbaston, mixing it with boys four years his senior, the age gap and his wiry frame an irrelevance. Bellingham juggled excelling in his GCSEs with breaking into Birmingham’s first team, arriving and departing training in uniform. “He’d tear us a new one and then wander off to school,” laughs David Stockdale, the goalkeeper who sometimes took Bellingham to training from the then family home near Bromsgrove. Stockdale kept Bellingham guessing, one day picking him up in a “bucket-list car”, the next a transit van. “He used to say: ‘Are you going to put your chauffeur hat on?’ … I’d tell him to get his work clothes on if I turned up in the van. We’d have a good laugh. He’d moan that somebody didn’t give him a free-kick in training. He was cheeky, but he’s never been flamboyant — that’s what gives him his special edge.”

Odin Bailey shared Bellingham’s journey into the first team and visited him in Madrid last weekend, taking in their draw against Real Betis. Bellingham paid for Bailey’s flights and hotel. Bailey, who plays for Stockport, recalls Bellingham’s name being on the lips of the under-14s after a session in which a 10-year-old Bellingham nutmegged him. It was a similar story at first-team training. “Wring you inside out, flick it over your head,” says Harlee Dean, Birmingham’s captain at the time. “We would say to each other: ‘Look what he did to you today.’ Every day he was the best player: you wanted him on your team because he won every day.”

Birmingham accelerated Bellingham’s programme once he reached the under-12s. Until that point, Dodds says, he had effectively been playing with his mates with a smile on his face after formally signing as an under-nine. Dodds has also coached Bellingham’s younger brother, Jobe, at Birmingham and Sunderland, his current club. “Whether it be Jude going to Dortmund and Madrid or Jobe to Sunderland, every decision they made as a family was based on the boys’ happiness.” Bellingham played for the under-16s at 13, for the under-18s at 14 and for the under-23s at 15. Birmingham were mindful of striking the right balance between stress and support. “When he first came up he would try a lot of skills and it wouldn’t always come off but he quickly transitioned into knowing when to do it, when not to do it,” Bailey says. “The transition happened quite quickly, as it has in his first-team career.”

Bellingham and Bailey went to the same secondary school, shone together for the under-23s and made their first-team debuts on the same night at Portsmouth. They joined the first-team’s tour to Portugal in 2019, indulging in the odd prank. “You know when you fill a bucket of water up and tilt it against someone’s door?” Bailey says. “We enjoyed doing it to people much more than we enjoyed it getting done to ourselves … we didn’t do it to any of the first-team boys because they would have got us back 10 times worse.” Before Bellingham left for Dortmund, the pair, plus Geraldo Bajrami, now of Notts County, regularly went for coffees or to Nando’s in Birmingham’s Bullring. “We were kind of like the three amigos,” Bailey says.

<a
